What's Covered
Our 2-year health guarantee protects your investment and ensures peace of mind.
2-Year Genetic Health Guarantee
We guarantee your puppy against life-threatening genetic conditions including Dilated Cardiomyopathy (DCM), Von Willebrand's Disease (vWD), and Hip Dysplasia for a full 24 months from the date of birth.
Veterinary Examination
Every puppy receives a comprehensive physical examination by a licensed veterinarian before leaving our facility. This includes cardiac auscultation, orthopedic evaluation, and general wellness screening.
Vaccination & Deworming
Your puppy will have received age-appropriate vaccinations (typically first round of DHPP) and a complete deworming protocol. Full records are provided at pickup.
Health Certificate
A USDA health certificate is issued for all shipped puppies. Local pickup families receive a detailed health report including weight, temperature, and examination findings.
Genetic Conditions Covered
Our guarantee specifically covers these hereditary conditions common to the Doberman breed.
Parent Health Testing
We only breed dogs that have passed rigorous health screenings.
OFA Cardiac Screening
All breeding dogs undergo annual cardiac evaluations by a board-certified veterinary cardiologist.
OFA Hip & Elbow Evaluations
Radiographic screening for hip and elbow dysplasia performed at 24 months of age.
Genetic DNA Panel
Full genetic testing through Embark or Paw Print Genetics for all known Doberman genetic conditions.
Thyroid Function Testing
Annual thyroid panels to screen for autoimmune thyroiditis common in the breed.
How to Use Your Guarantee
If a covered condition arises, we are here to help. Here is how the process works.
Contact Us Immediately
Notify Cejo Doberman within 14 days of diagnosis. Provide veterinary records and diagnostic test results.
Veterinary Verification
We may request a second opinion from a specialist of our choosing at our expense to confirm the diagnosis.
Resolution Options
Upon confirmation, you may choose: (a) a replacement puppy from our next available litter, or (b) a 50% refund of the purchase price.
Important Guarantee Terms
- •The guarantee is void if the puppy is not examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of receipt.
- •Puppy must be kept current on all vaccinations and preventive care as recommended by your veterinarian.
- •Spay/neuter must be performed by 18 months unless breeding rights were purchased separately.
- •Puppy must not be overweight or subjected to excessive exercise during growth phases.
